THE INSECTS ARE PRESENT
(public installation of composition system in North Troy, Aug-Sept 2023)

The following two video segments are examples of the compositional material that was produced by the Speculative Ecoacoustic Music Composition System at this participatory installation. After listening to the real-time compositional system, participants were invited to record their own message to soil invertebrates to be used in future iterations of the system. The images + video are of the system setup/site. Past participants whose words and sounds are in these clips: Erica Valle, Joshua Lim, Satinam, and Claire Rosen.


REFUGES FOR ANTS

(to be presented as public sound installation at Wave Farm [NY] in summer 2024)

The following is a segment from the compositional material produced during research phase of this project while in residence at Wave Farm in summer 2023. In early summer 2024 I will be returning to Wave Farm to install Faraday Cage refuges for ants to nest in. I will set up a composition system that modulates ant sound, soil soundscape, cellular EMF, to be experienced as a public installation.
